Clancy is a warm and empathetic Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in health psychology from at the University of New South Wales.
She has experience working with children and adults, and has a particular passion for working with the following difficulties:
Clancy also has experience supporting people with OCD, hoarding, grief and loss, anger, chronic pain, self-harm and suicidality, sleep difficulties, ADHD, and ASD.
In providing therapy, Clancy aims to tailor evidence-based treatments to each client’s unique needs. Her work is informed by research into attachment and self-compassion, and it draws on a range of of therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and CBT for eating disorders (CBT-E), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, parent management training, and Gottman’s couple therapy.
Most importantly, Clancy believes that therapy should be a safe place where clients can explore their difficulties without judgement, and she strives to provide care in a way that makes each client feel understood, accepted, and supported.
